The investigation into the murder of Chiara Poggi, killed in Garlasco, in the province of Pavia, on August 13th, 2007. For weeks – at the request  of defense attorney of Alberto Stasi, Chiara’s boyfriend at the time, the only person convicted for the crime – the prosecutor’s office has given new impetus to the investigations, starting from the DNA found under the victim’s fingernails. The lawyer for Chiara’s family – who has always been convinced of Stasi’s guilt – reported that the parents are ‘stunned’ by what is happening. The lawyer spoke of an  ‘outlandish hypotheses’ .
