Following protests from the opposition, the Prime Minister announced that she will report to Parliament on the war in the Middle East on 11 March. Yesterday saw heated debate in Parliament following reports from the Defence and Foreign Affairs Ministers. At the end of the session, majority resolutions were approved committing the government to strengthening the defence, together with other European partners, of the Gulf countries under attack from Iran.
Today in Milan, there will be a ceremony to mark the 150th anniversary of Corriere della Sera, attended by the Head of State, who will be in Verona this evening for the opening of the Paralympics. The Prime Minister will also be present.
